Dwight is a recent transplant to Coos County, having moved from the Portland/Vancouver area to Bandon in 2015. While in Portland, Dwight played in several successful original, cover and tribute bands starting in the late 90’s. These include:

• The Chris Merrill Band (Originals)
• The Renegade Monks (Dance-Cover Band)
• Sweet Emotion (Aerosmith Tribute) in the role of Brad Whitford
• Poison’us (Poison Tribute) in the role of CC DeVille
• Collected Souls (Collective Soul Tribute) – As frontman Ed Roland. This band was the brainchild of Dwight’s having been a fan of the high energy 90’s band from the very beginning.

A highlight of Dwight’s current career was to play with Ed Roland acoustically in 2018 in St Lucia, West Indies. Dwight jokes “I got the t-shirt” along with free concert tickets, VIP backstage passes and the occasional text message from the man himself since then.

Mostly self-taught, Dwight did have the chance to take a few guitar lessons from the late, great, Jim Mesi, and invaluable voice lessons from Eugene Lewis.

Dwight is happy to have come in on the ground floor of what is now Rockipedia. He also enjoys the community of excellent musicians in the southern Oregon coast area. Dwight is always happy to join in jam events and mix things up with other players, write and perform with his acoustic guitar and being on the dance floor when he is not on stage.
